Finished working on our clan page, subGenius Gaming. Please allow me access to continue refining the content. Cipher 27 May 08

Completed our clan page, just need the right categories listed for it. I am a noob and screwed it up. The name is The 22nd SAS Regiment Clan. Thanks mate. Shamrock

Somehow the PunkBuster page that I was working on became locked. I can no longer edit it or undo from the history?--Vreki 14:13, 19 December 2007 (PST)

  • Ok, I'll look into it and see about getting it unprotected.

EDIT: Ok, I found the problem. You were trying to link to

[[:Category:Clans]] , but you accidentally wound up adding

[[Category:Clans]] instead; when you did that, you restricted the page so that only Clan Liaisons could edit the page. Naturally, I didn't find anything in the protection log because it wasn't actually "protected" by a staff member; it was just autoprotected because it got dumped in that category.

Thanks, I suspected that was the problem after getting some sleep, but there isn't really much you can do after you made the mistake. Pretty clever trap :) --Vreki 22:53, 19 December 2007 (PST)

  • The "Features" boxes on the main page moves around in a confusing way when the page is resized. Example here

--Vreki 11:49, 23 November 2007 (PST)

  • I agree, the main page is a little wonky. I know Webs will fix it once he gets time to though. As for right now, I'm leaving it alone, since I know he has a design in mind. We'll just have to be patient.

  • Feature request: Integration with the single sign-on of the rest of totalgaming would be really nice.

--Vreki 12:11, 23 November 2007 (PST)

  • That will require a very unique process, since characters such as {}~*@#!$%^ aren't allowed on MediaWiki SN's. Thats not to say we're not thinking about it, but how we do it, will be difficult at best. Again. Thats something to be patient about.

  • It will essentially block users from editing if they have special characters. They can PM an administrator if they want to change their name on the forums I suppose. And about the main page issue, the defined size needs to be replaced with percentages. If someone wants to take that on, go for it. If you don't have perms to do it, just make a sandbox page with the updated page and I'll transfer it when it's right.
  • On another note, I just figured out that the vb integration is really, really easy. Only problem is, when I undid it, everyone lost their userrights. As of 11:35 PM EST, I've gotten it fixed. Had to go into the database and fix some userrights for those who had usernames which lined up with the TR forums. We should be able to integrate with no issues as far as I can tell. It'll also let the wiki use your forum login cookie, so that's all good.
