Silent Heroes is a modification for Battlefield 1942. It features modern warfare between the Swedish Army and the Norwegian Army.
Gameplay
A number of things are changed in the mod for infantry gameplay. Using alt-fire on firearms will enable iron sight or telescopic sight, depending on the weapon. Sniper class and the engineer class (which has a machinegun as a primary weapon) are restricted in availability depending on the number of kits being used in the field. The sniper class features a spawn flag in place of a knive, which can create a temporary spawn point for reinforcements. The spawn point has a time limit and is vulnerable to explosions. Parachutes are removed from the game except for spawning in a helicopter or spawning on temporary spawn points created from sniper kits.
Another notable feature in the mod is the lack of jet aircrafts. Aircrafts are only available in the form of helicopters.
