Grammar Police

Grammar police are people who search for spelling or grammatical mistakes and demean the author or editor of the article about their mistakes. These sorts of mistakes can be caused for any number of reasons, and simply put, every editor will make a silly mistake somewhere down the road (We're all human, right?). Therefore, if you see a grammatical or spelling mistake, edit it and move on; there is usually no reason to discuss such an edit on the discussion page unless the edit significantly changes the meaning of the article. While we do encourage weeding out these sorts of articles, we do not, and will not, support base attacks against authors or editors who may not have a full grasp of the English language and it's peculiarities.

Consequences

  • The first offense will result in a polite warning on the offending user's Talk Page.
  • The second offense will result in an official warning on the user's page.
  • Third and subsequent offenses will result in a block of length to be determined by the Staff.
