Pan-European Game Information
The Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) is the European counterpart to ESRB. It is a voluntary rating system in which the game developers rate their own games against a self assessment form provided by PEGI. This form is available to the public from the PEGI home page.[1] The proposed rating are then checked by NICAM:
- Ratings 16+ and 18+ are checked before a rating is granted
- Rating 12+ are checked after a rating is granted.
- Ratings 3+ and 7+ will have samples checked after a rating is granted
