Nintendo is one of the most successful and popular gaming companies of the twentieth century. The company was founded on September 23, 1889 and started out manufacturing cards for a game called hanafuda. It created many popular consoles including the original Nintendo (NES), Super Nintendo (SNES), Nintendo 64 (N64, Nintendo Gamecube (GCN) and the Wii.
