What is a Clan-Wiki?
Clan-Wiki's are the EncyClanPedia version of the Wiki Page.
The purpose of a Clan-Wiki is to get the information of an entire Clan out, so that the entire world can learn of them, and their potential for greatness. It is for that purpose that we've created the EncyClanPedia in the first place.
Are Clan-Wiki's secure?
Clan-Wiki's are 100% secure from vandalism, so long as you properly protect your clan page by joining up with our Clan-Liaison program.
Joining our Clan-Liaison program is simple. You just follow three simple steps which require virtually no effort at all.
- Finish as much work on your Clan-Wiki as possible. This is the most important step.
- Contact the Admins by leaving a note on their individual User_Talk pages, or on the Admin Notice Board. You can do this by clicking one of the links on the far left user bar titled Contact Admins.
- Add Category:Clans to your Clan-Page. Make sure to do this After you finish your Clan-Wiki as much as possible, and After you contact an Administrator. The reason is because until an Admin makes you a Clan-Liaison for your Clan-Wiki - you will be locked out of your Clan-Wiki.
Once you follow these steps, an Administrator will give you access to your Clan-Wiki, and you will be able to edit it to your hearts content without fear from Vandals.
Why would I make my own Clan-Wiki?
The simplest answer is because it's a wonderful promotional tool.
It's perfectly customizable like a web-site, but it's free. It can also serve as a point of pride, allowing you to archive your Clan's greatest achievements in a permanent structure that won't be buried in the second page of your Clan's Forums like some discarded trash. This Clan-Wiki can secure your Clan's legacy for all to see!
The EncyClanPedia is an Encyclopedia for Clans. This means that if your clan exists, somebody is probably out there searching for it. Sadly if your name is "The Killers" - chances are your Clan will be hidden away on page 90 from a Google Search. Not here - we don't waste people's time with stuff that doesn't relate to gaming. People come here to search our database for Clans, Game Information, Developer Information, Modding Information and Strategies. If they type in "The Killers" you can be damned sure they'll find you.
Best of all. If there are more than one clan named "The Killers" in the EncyClanPedia, a search result will bring up a Disambiguation page which will sort out the differences between "The Killers" which is a Battlefield 2 clan from the United Kingdom, from "The Killers" which is a Call of Duty 4 clan from the United States.

Categorizing your Clan-Wiki
Clan-Wiki's are intended to be categorized in the Clans category. Within the Clans category are a wide assortment and selection of different games, and clan types. If you do happen to make a Clan-Wiki, please make it easier to find your Clan-Wiki by adding the proper Category tags to your page. This should include any game related (Casual) or (Professional) clan categories.
The purpose of categorizing your page is to make life easier for the browsers who're in search of a clan for any specific game.
