The EncyClanPedia, who's name is the brainchild of the deranged off topic forum poster, Dairuka Sutain, is a gaming community oriented Wiki.

While it was not the first time it's concept was thought of, it's ability to come to fruition wasn't fully realized until it was backed by the Total Gaming Network's Off Topic forum clan, known as the Mo0bment. Many of whom now serve as staff to the EncyClanPedia.

Also backing up the EncyClanPedia movement are some staff from the Total Gaming Network, including Webs961, CaptainKirk, and -Dan-.

That didn't answer my question! Tell me what the EncyClanPedia is!

The EncyClanPedia in essence is a MediaWiki intent on catering to the needs of clans, guilds, and gaming communities in general. However, while those three aspects of gaming are our major focus, we will also make the EncyClanPedia much more broader when it comes to gaming information. We will do our best to make it a gaming information hub on the entire internet.

Now, I know what some of you are asking yourselves. Why would we at the ECP do such a thing? Especially when Wikipedia already has pages for video games, and consoles? Well, that answer can be put very simply. Wikipedia seems to forget that there are more to games than just the game itself. It forgets about Modifications, Strategies, Professional Gaming and instead it only sweeps generalized aspects about the games they actually cover. Considering we only allow gaming-related wiki pages on our website, we will definitely make up for our lack of information on other aspects of general knowledge, by instead delving deeper into all aspects of gaming. Of course, we only intend on making EncyClanPedia a gaming information hub on the internet, so that we can attract more people to it, so that these people can in fact learn that the ECP is also the perfect place to find a clan. As more people use our resource to find a clan, we hope to attract more clans, and thusly, attract more people in search of a clan. It's a cycle we hope to start someday soon.

As we grow, we will be introducing even more sub-categories to already existing game specific clan-categories, for the sake of making the search for a clan easier for the people browsing.

We here at the EncyClanPedia have the ambition and desire to make life easier for the person in search of a clan, by giving him a wide assortment of clans to choose from. All we need is the support of the very people we're trying to help. Add a clan page, or really help us by adding a game, or strategy page! Any help at all is appreciated in these early stages of development.
