Entertainment Software Rating Board
The Entertainment Software Rating Board is an industry-regulated organization based in the United States which assesses a game's content and determines for which age level the game is most appropriate. Game developers submit the most violent, provocative, and offensive media and gameplay samples to the ESRB Raters. After reviewing these materials, the ESRB will issue a rating for the game which is affixed to the game.
