Dark Resistance is an online gaming clan founded in September of 2007, dedicated to provide a rewarding and fun experience for all of its members. We are willing to incorporate any outside PC game that our members desire. We have a strong member base from all over the globe. Places such as the United States, Canada and many regions of Europe and Africa, with many of its members ranging between the ages of 13 and up.
Of course the largest part of the Dark Resistance is our gaming. Aside from gaming, members also contribute to fan fiction stories, skins, model and level making, signature art and many more exciting things.
The Dark Resistance is based on a military-like structure. This means that the amount of activity you do in the clan determines how quickly you will rise in the ranks. Rank is used to show how well you are doing in the club since you've joined. Rank also means that you would be gaining game-wise authority over other members with lower ranks, and eventually even becoming a commander, in charge of your own section or division.
If you would like more information about the Dark Resistance please contact the Webmaster, or join our forums and ask to learn more about us. Dark Resistance is an enjoyable place if you are active and follow the Code of Conduct. We welcome you all, but only the Elite will have the honor of calling themselves apart of Dark Resistance....
History
Dark Resistance is actually the product of a merge between two clans: Dark Entity (-=DE=-) and The Resistance (TR). Yeah, I don't know how we came up with the new name, either. When the two came together, they each put three members in the new High Command of six. Members with both were given the equivalent of their former rank, and most were put in similar positions of command.
Chain of Command
I. The High Command is in charge of the entire clan and maintains the forums, website, and servers; reviews recruit applications; etc. There are six High Command members.
II. Division Commanders oversee genres of games, such as FPS or RTS. There is one Division Commander per genre (currently 2).
III. Company Commanders lead each individual game. There is one Company Commander for every officially supported game.
IV. Platoon Leaders are second-in-command in each game, and also oversee two squads of the same game. There are one or two Platoon Leaders for each game we support, depending on the number of squads.
V. Squad Leaders run squads of 10-20 members who practice and can compete as a unit. Their focus is leadership in-game. There is one Squad Leader for every squad in the clan.
Code of Conduct
1. Insubordination A Commanding Officer has the knowledge and experience that facilitates such a role. As such they will not be contradicted in public, which would merely show a weakness in structure and degrade our integrity. Should you have a disagreement, take it up with them in private. Should there be no resolution with this, you may contact a member of the High Command directly with your concerns.
2. Clan Tags
(-DR-) tags should be worn at all times in all games that we participate in. We are proud of our background and what our name stands for.

Some groups with mutual consent may choose dialogue in private that would not normally be accepted, however should a superior give orders to cool off, they WILL be listened to. Consequences for violations can lead up to immediate termination.

The only expection to this rule is if the clan in question does not support any form of games played by Dark Resistance, or said clan does not ever play against (-DR-) in any tournament. Please see a superior officer for further clarification.
