Having problems accessing your Clan-Wiki?Make sure to send a message to Dairuka immediately if you notice that your Clan-Wiki has been inadvertently added to the Category:Clans page. You'll be given access to the page if you've previously posted on it, or prove yourself to be a member of the clan in question's page you're trying to change. --Dairuka 04:49, 6 January 2008 (PST) Huge changes in progress right nowFor the past week, our wiki has been in a transitional period. We're trying to integrate it with the Total Gaming Network forums. Sadly there have been some hitches along the way. We'd like to ask for our viewers to be very patient with us. Think of December as the EncyClanPedia's Open-Beta. The actual release of our beautiful Wiki won't be complete until we're completely integrated. Once this is done, expect a lot of activity and a buttload of changes for the better. In the mean time, please be patient. Webs has brought back the old site outlook for the time being. Feel free to add a couple pages while you wait, everything will be completely transfered over after we're done, so don't worry about any of your progress being lost. --Dairuka 04:45, 6 January 2008 (PST) Merry Christmas!Because of the up coming holiday on the 25th, the EncyClanPedia will probably slow down. Don't fret though! Because we'll be back working our buns off again after the holidays! So kick back, enjoy some egg nog, watch some cheesy christmas movies, and enjoy a nice big turkey this Christmas. Just make sure to check in on the 26th, or I'll get Santa on your arse. --Dairuka 21:00, 23 December 2007 (PST) We fixed an error in the system that locked people's pages before they personally added Category:Clans to their Clan-WikiSo to those of you who weren't finished making your Clan-Wiki before, feel free to go back and finish them up now. We apologize for the mix-up. Remember to ASK Dairuka or Webs961 for access to your Clan-Wiki via our Clan Liaison system.Otherwise you won't be able to access your page once you've added it to the Category:Clans section. What do you want the most out of the ECP?Make sure to cast your votes at the Total Gaming Network's EncyClanPedia forum. You'll need to be registered at Total Gaming Network to cast your vote, so don't hesitate to register! We don't care if the person who voted has 0 posts; it's all about feedback from our community! You can vote for multiple choices, just don't pick all of them please. The ones that do the best will be the ones that we at the EncyClanPedia staff will try to focus on the most. This is to help us understand what people like and want the most from the ECP. So Vote Today! Strategies have been added to the Games & Mods sectionBecause of the hard work of many of our most loyal contributors, we now have more than enough strategies to highlight. What this means is we've now added an entire section inside of the Main Page/Games and Mods section specifically for promoting these new strategy articles that our contributors are making. Keep at it guys, you're doing great! Over 1500 total Clan-Wiki views, 800 unique Category:Clans views, and 300+ absolutely unique visitors for Clan-Wiki's!A quick look over our statistics shows that each clan page has had on average 40-70 absolutely unique visitors, and a total of around 300 unique visitors if we add up all the current clan-wiki's in the Category:Clans section! Most Clan-Wiki's have over 150 page views, and they total to more than 1500 overall too! This is all in just 6 days so far! Most Clan-Wiki's haven't even been up for that long! This just shows that the ECP works, so keep your Clan-Wiki's updated and filled to the brim with information. People are watching! --Dairuka 15:26, 10 December 2007 (PST) Can you get to 100?We haven't set any trusted users yet, and personally, I feel that nobody has truly been contributing enough to warrant such an award. So, to hopefully promote more people to contribute to the ECP, I'm going to offer three trusted user groups ranks to the first three people who manage to earn a score of 100 on the Social Rewarding Ranking - The only way to do this of course, is to add content to the EncyClanPedia! Now, as we all know, this is a gaming site, so if you really want to pad your stats fast, start adding content to the wide assortment of red pages in our Wanted Pages List. You get some points for creating a new page. However you get far more points to your score for every 1000 bytes of information you add to each page. How you earn those points is up to you, just remember that moderators are watching every edit being made, so make sure you follow the Policies and Rules put into place. Don't spam. Don't vandalize. Try not to plagiarize, (Not even from Wikipedia). If you absolutely must plagiarize a quick summary, rewrite it in your own words and add a Source! Never out-right steal somebody else's work. Just use a little imagination. Trusted Users will gain special recognition on The Community page, and they will have access to special editing abilities that other users don't have. There is also a possibility (We can't guarantee this, as we haven't hammered out the details with TGN yet) in the future that Red Name tags will be given to totalgamingnetwork.com Forum Users who have Trusted Status on the ECP. (For you non-TGN users, this means you need to make a TGN account to get the full benefits!) So there are definitely some nice rewards in this promotion! --Dairuka 15:26, 10 December 2007 (PST) New to the EncyClanPedia?Take your time and have a look around. The Main page features a large assortment of off-shoot pages, which are all brimming with reviews, interviews and tidbits of information. The featured pages underneath the main tabs, are especially unique, so take a gander! Please also note that the EncyClanPedia is brand spanking new, so a lot of the pages are empty right now. Over time, the ECP staff will be able to remedy this problem by adding pages ourselves, but we hope to attract a large number of contributers to help out too! If you're looking to help contribute to the ECP (or just add your personalized clan wiki), please don't hesitate to register. Anonymous people will not be able to edit. If you're brand new to MediaWiki's in general, please have a look over at the Help pages. It's not completely finished as of yet, but a lot is covered, and this could easily help you get your Clan-Wiki or Wiki pages off of the ground. Finally, don't forget about your user page! When you're logged on, click your registered name, which will probably show up as a red link at the top of the page. Thats your personal vanity page. Put whatever you want there, so long as it follows our Rules. Anyhow, whether you're a viewer, or a contributor, we of the ECP staff like to thank you, for supporting the EncyClanPedia! Additional Note: Please make sure to use the Show preview button rather than spam edits every-time you're making a small change. It'll show you your progress, without you having to fill up the Recent Changes page. --Dairuka 06:46, 5 December 2007 (PST) December 10th, 2007Over 1500 total Clan-Wiki views, 800 unique Category:Clans views, and 300+ absolutely unique visitors for Clan-Wiki's!A quick look over our statistics shows that each clan page has had on average 70 absolutely unique visitors, and a total of around 300 unique visitors if we add up all the current clan-wiki's in the Category:Clans section! Do you like the idea of Mods, Patches, and Clans being neatly categorized and easily found all in one single website location? Then support the EncyClanPedia by telling other people about it! Post about it on your favorite forum, or put your own personal Wiki page on your signature. Tell your friends, or bring it up in a Chat Room conversation. Every extra visitor counts and we appreciate even the smallest contributions from our patrons. So please. Get the word out. Help make EncyClanPedia shine! --Dairuka 12:27, 10 December 2007 (PST) December 8th, 2007Major Changes to the Clan-Wikis! - Clan Liaisons are required to edit Clan Pages! We have instigated a security program that allows only people we've given explicit permission to edit any Clan-Wiki page in Category:Clans. Considering that all Clan-Wikis will be automatically placed into this category, that means that after you first initially create your page, you will need user-access. This access can only be gained in one of thre ways. - You can ask the Administrators for access to your Clan-Wiki through PM on the ECP forums. - You can ask Dairuka over X-fire for access to your Clan-Wiki. - You can ask an Administrator for access to your Clan-Wiki via Usertalk on ECP. Proof of your relationship to this clan is required! Therefore if you are not the Clan Leader, we must first be contacted and given explicit permission from your Clan Leader, before you will be given Clan Liaison status. A clan will only be allowed three clan liaisons at any given time, so make sure you choose your most dedicated and brightest to represent you! The entire purpose of this strict function is to quell any and all fears about vandalism to Clan-Wikis. Any abuse of these functions will result in an immediate ban from the EncyClanPedia. Vandalism itself is also greatly frowned upon, and can result in an immediate ban at the discretion of the moderator who catches it. We have zero tolerance for vandalism on Clan-Wikis, so if you're caught vandalizing any Clan-Wiki, you will be banned. Also remember. To protect your site. Add it to the Clans category. Otherwise your Clan-Wiki will NOT be protected. --Dairuka 13:17, 8 December 2007 (PST) December 6th, 2007The EncyClanPedia has a forum! We've added a forum for the EncyClanPedia for the sake of improving communication between the Administrators and the users! So any questions or comments can be posted there. We will also highlight new additions to the ECP from that forum. January's Featured Clan, Player and Game will also be chosen via polls from that forum, so be sure to check it out! Strategy-Wikis have been added to the EncyClanPedia!Because we believe that this site should be used for anything relating to Gaming, Strategies were definitely an idea that we've been working on for a long time. Well, now that idea has come to fruition! We've begun the process of creating a Game Strategy Category Tree, and we've already added a few pages to it too! Be sure to check it out! Be sure to tell your friends! Be sure to add your own strategies too! December 5th, 2007The EncyClanPedia is open! Finally! In what felt like forever, we finally got all of the loose ends tied up, and have managed to convince the people at MyIS to open the EncyClanPedia to the public!
