November's Choice: The Mo0bment

The Mascot of the Mo0bment

I can already hear the questions being raised. "What does an Off-Topic clan have to do with gaming? Why should we even care?" - Well, I agree with you. The Mo0bment has absolutely no actual connection to any one game. It's merely a collection of people on an Off Topic Web-forum on the Total Gaming Network. However, were it not for the very existence of the Mo0bment, the EncyClanPedia might have never come to fruition. It would've instead remained an idea on the back of every person's mind. This is how the Mo0bment has earned it's place as the very first spotlight for the EncyClanPedia.

The Clan itself is not old in any sense of the word. It was actually made back in November 14, as a practical joke between it's two main founding members Oli and Mo0by McMo0b. They had each stolen each other's nicknames in an attempt to confuse other patrons on X-fire. When Dairuka the third founding member of the Mo0bment had noticed, he had taken up Mo0by's name, and somehow was messaged by dozens of people over an hours time. After a couple jokes were made, Dairuka quickly convinced people to take up the name Mo0by McMo0b, and soon entire X-fire lists were filled with the name Mo0by McMo0b!

While the founding of the clan may seem insignificant to gaming itself, how it happened bears a strong relation to how the EncyClanPedia came to be. After the Mo0bment joke had spread to more than a dozen people, the joke had spread to the point of needing legitimacy. So, again one of it's founding members, Dairuka went off to Wikipedia, to make a joke-website containing all of the information on the Mo0bment. Naturally, due to Wikipedia's rigidness, the page was removed. Soon after that, a vast search of Wikipedia's that catered to clans such as the Mo0bment was made. It wasn't until the next day November 15, that the search was given up on, and a slighted and annoyed comment on the lack of Clan Wikipedia's was made.

"Sounds like a project" Alex98uk, one of the Mo0bment members, and Total Gaming Network moderators had said in response to Dairuka's comment of, "There are no homes for Clans in Wiki's."

That was how the EncyClanPedia was born.

A proposal was quickly made soon after that comment, and it was promptly accepted by the generous people at the Total Gaming Network, and My Internet Services. With the efforts of User:Webs961, User:CaptainKirk and Dairuka, the EncyClanPedia is now the sprawling Wiki you see today, and with continuous effort, it can only continue to grow.

With everybody's contributions to the EncyClanPedia, the joke clan known as the Mo0bment will hopefully go down in Gaming History.
