AV rocket launchers
The EU´s Mitchell AV-18 and the PAC´s Sudnik VP are for all purposes identical, although the Mitchell fires a cluster of four projectiles against the one of the Sudnik.
The launcher functions as modern Laser guided weapons, with the missile attempting to hit wherever the launcher is aimed. This allows the missile to be redirected in flight. Most fire the launcher from the zoomed mode (alt fire), but in reality the missile will follow the aim of the user even when the launcher is unzoomed or in the reload animation.
Players commonly have auto reload enabled, which causes the launcher to leave zoom and start reloading as soon as the missile is launched. This distraction can be avoided by simply keeping the fire button pressed until impact.
Aiming the launcher at most enemy vehicles will cause an alert to sound to the driver, giving him time to avoid or launch countermeasures. To avoid this the missile can be fired away from the vehicle and only aimed in the last stage. This is also useful for confusing the enemys hit indicator, which can lead him to the engineers position.
